About Us
The Teal Peacock Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Philadelphia, PA. We are committed to supporting women fighting ovarian cancer by aiding them in finding resources during their battle.
When a woman is diagnosed with ovarian cancer, it affects the entire family. The Teal Peacock Foundation will be her ally during this journey. Our goal is to assist the family in finding resources which support activities of daily living. With such support, Mom can solely focus on getting better and the family can continue their lives without interruption.
The Teal Peacock Foundation collaborates with a diverse network of providers that offer needed lifestyle services. Some of the services we help to find include meal prep, house cleaning, vet visits, and more. Our goal is to be a pillar in the Philadelphia area ovarian cancer community through the resources we help provide.
Our founder, Krystal Kim, is from Teaneck, NJ, by way of The Bronx, NY. She battled and won her first bout with ovarian cancer and a subsequent recurrence less than a year later. She created this foundation to pay it forward to the West Chester, PA community. Once the HS football community discovered her diagnosis, they rallied around Krystal and her children during her fight for survival.
The Teal Peacock Foundation exemplifies hope and amplifies courage. Krystal decided the peacock would be a regal representation as the foundation's logo, because it symbolizes power, strength, confidence, beauty, and divinity. Teal is one of the primary colors of the peacock, and it's also the color for ovarian cancer.
